Recruitment & Vaccinations
The Workplace HQ team discuss some key queries they are seeing on the recruitment and vaccination front including 3 interesting scenarios:
- When an employer wants to interview in person rather than zoom, however some interviewers won’t be vaccinated, can they still interview in person and/or what should be advised to the candidates being interviewed?
- If a candidate is upfront that they will not be getting vaccinated, is it considered discrimination if they are not selected for the role because a company is requiring employees to be vaccinated even if not part of a public health order?
- What is the advice if a business is not part of a Public Health Order, but is asking for confirmation regarding candidates vaccination status in case they decide to mandate vaccinations at a later date?
